Rejuvenate your face by erasing fine lines, wrinkles and crow’s feet with Dr. Becker’s expertly customized BOTOX injections. BOTOX® is the most commonly performed cosmetic procedure in the United States and is done in both medical and non-medical offices. Dr. Becker performs all injections himself and takes a meticulous approach to BOTOX® treatment. Dr. Becker’s thorough understanding of the facial musculature ensures you will achieve natural looking results. Individual results may vary.

Dr. Becker conducts a detailed facial analysis, to understand your goals and wishes and then develops a customized treatment plan, to help you get the best results possible. Dr. Becker is very careful to avoid over-treatment, which can lead to a frozen, unnatural appearance. Dr. Becker uses just the right number of BOTOX® units, giving you the new look you want.

Botulinum toxin type A is a natural bacterial protein that blocks nerve impulses to the muscle. It is synthesized as a highly purified prescription medication approved for the temporary treatment of lines and wrinkles. BOTOX®, DYSPORT®, and XEOMIN® are all forms botulinum toxin type A that are available for use in the United States, and all work by blocking the nerve signal to the muscle. Treatments last for a period of 3 – 4 months. When administered by a highly trained professional, a subtle, natural result can be achieved that preserves facial expression. Individual results may vary.

Although it is most well known for its cosmetic uses, it is also helpful in treating many other conditions, including excessive sweating and reducing muscle spasms that contribute to headaches and temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ).

What to Expect Durning your Botox/Dysport Treatment:

Small amounts of medication are injected, with very little risk. Although rare, occasionally a bruising at the injection site is possible. Typically this is very slight and easily concealed. Following this, there are no particular precautions and patients can continue normal activities. The effects of BOTOX® take about three days to become noticeable. A full effect will be reached in 7 – 10 days and lasts for about four months. Dr. Becker’s goal is to reach the desired result in a single treatment, but he is also very careful to avoid over-treatment. The amount of medication needed varies from person to person, and this means some additional treatment may be needed to reach the desired effect, although this is uncommon. Dr. Becker keeps detailed records, making this even less likely during future treatments.

Fillers give your skin a fresh, youthful, lift and smoothness. They are an ideal option for people who want subtle changes or aren’t ready to commit to a more intensive procedure. Dr. Becker can expertly improve facial volume, soften wrinkles and creases, and plump thin lips. Dr. Becker uses a variety of injectable fillers to achieve the results you desire. Individual results may vary.

Restylane®, Juvedérm®, Volbella® and Belotero® are gels made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the skin. They are clear gels and effectively fill lines and wrinkles in the skin, giving you a more youthful appearance. Individual results may vary.

Dr. Becker also uses them to restore and add volume to areas like the lips and cheeks. Dr. Becker’s detailed understanding of facial anatomy ensures you will achieve natural results without looking overdone. Restylane®, Juvedérm® and Belotero® treatments last between 4 – 6 months. Juvedérm Voluma® for the midface and cheek area, and Juvedérm Volbella® for the lips lasts 12 – 18 months. Hyaluronic acid fillers are extremely safe, because hyaluronic Acid is a substance normally found in the skin. Allergic reactions and other unwanted effects are very rare. Notify your doctor if you have any allergies to bacterial proteins. Individual results may vary.

Calcium Hydroxylapatite is substance that occurs naturally in the bones. This filler is white and is denser, making it a more desirable option for areas where more volume correction is needed. It is a white paste and therefore is not a good option for use in fine lines and creases, because it is more likely to be visible. Radiesse® lasts longer than hyaluronic acid, typically about 9 months. Individual results may vary.

Sculptra® is FDA approved to stimulate natural collagen growth and restore facial volume and the improve the appearance of wrinkles and folds over time.  Dr. Becker injects Sculptra® into the tissues under the skin to stimulate new collagen development. Over a period of time, the body regenerates collagen, which helps restore facial fullness.  The number of treatments will vary depending on the amount of volume desired, but in general, the average is 3 treatments, each done 6-8 weeks apart. Results may last longer than 2 years.  Individual results may vary.

Bellafill is the only dermal filler that stimulates collagen growth long term to help maintain your youthful appearance for up to 5 years. Bellafill’s tiny, polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres are suspended within a base of smooth collagen gel. Once injected, the collagen gel immediately reduces the look of smile lines. Over time, your body uses the microspheres in Bellafill to create a “scaffold” onto which your own natural collagen can develop. This collagen forms a foundation that adds volume to wrinkles, reducing their appearance – and giving you natural-looking results that feel soft and smooth for up to 5 years. Individual results may vary.

Filler injections are quick and convenient. After administering an anesthetic to the area, Dr. Becker will carefully fill wrinkles and lines in the face, using small hypodermic needles. The entire procedure rarely takes more than an hour and is usually much shorter. Side effects are very rare. Patients may experience some slight redness or swelling in the treated area immediately after the procedure. Individual results may vary.

Swelling usually goes away the next day. There is usually little to no bruising, but if present, it typically fades within a few days. The main risk is bruising, which partially depends on the filler used, the area being treated and the patient’s tendency to form bruises. Individual results may vary.
