Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) is a minimally-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that has become increasingly popular here at Triangle Facial Plastic Surgery in Raleigh, NC. For years, we’ve delivered beautiful microneedling results using Rejuvapen. More recently, we’ve added Morpheus8 RF microneedling to our line of services to offer our patients a more advanced and powerful treatment microneedling treatment option.
Both Rejuvapen and Morpheus8 are safe, FDA-approved, non-surgical skin-repairing treatments that deliver beautiful results. While they both utilize tiny needles/pins to puncture the skin to remodel collagen and repair the skin, they are quite different.
We are here to break down the difference between Morpheus8 and traditional microneedling with the comparison chart below. A unique feature of Morpheus8 worth noting is its ability to provide customizable fractional treatments with its portfolio of microneedling tips that feature different pin configurations (such as Morpheus8 Prime for targeting smaller areas of the face).
